Where I Thrive
Welcome to The SDVA Report
The SDVA Report is a collection of observations on work, systems, and the invisible labor that keeps everything running. Expect thoughtful analysis, practical insight, and a closer look at how modern work actually functions.
I wanted to take this first post to first dive into who I am, my history, why I chose this career.
I spent over a decade in corporate administration. I was great in every role I was in, but I realized I didn’t want to be confined to a set schedule, a commute, or someone else’s priorities.
June 2025, I decided to take the leap and start SDVA. Within 24 hours, I closed my first client (!!!) and I knew this was what I was meant to do. I love helping people get past the work they don’t enjoy, the tasks that slow progress, and the invisible details that make a business function. The parts they love? That’s where they should focus. My work exists in the spaces in between: the structure, the systems, the execution. That’s where I thrive.
I’ve spent my career mastering systems that keep offices and projects running smoothly. Along the way, I earned my AA in Communications, became a notary public in California and earned a certification in Business Office Management, which help me bring both skill and structure to every project I take on. One of the best parts of this career is that I’m constantly exploring new platforms, tools, and processes so I can help my clients breathe easier and focus on the work they actually enjoy. Every client brings a new puzzle, and I genuinely love figuring out the systems to make their lives simpler.
Outside of work, I have two coworkers who require no meetings but plenty of attention: Gizmo (Gizzy/Giz) and Milo (Milo pie), my cats. They make sure I stay grounded, entertained, and occasionally reminded of the importance of breaks!
I’m a person of Christian faith and enjoy supporting faith-based businesses and brands, though it’s never a requirement! savoring slow mornings, keeping active to clear my head, and approaching each day with focus and intention.
This blog is a place for me to share what I’ve learned, the observations I’ve made, and the systems I’ve refined over the years. It’s for people who want to see what makes work ~ and life ~ function behind the surface. My goal isn’t to sell, teach productivity fluff, or tell you what to do…it’s to explore the mechanics of work, the unseen labor that keeps things moving, and the structures that allow people to focus on what matters most.
So if you’re curious about the systems that support success, the details that make the difference, or just want to know who you’ll be working with if you partner with me, you’re in the right place!
